SAMSUNG GEAR FIT VS. SAMSUNG GEAR FIT 2 – WHICH ONE FITS YOU RIGHT?

We have to agree that Samsung has invested a lot of money into its wearable devices. The company is also releasing new smartwatches very often, but now it’s also trying to claim Fitbit’s territory with the new Gear Fit 2.

Specifications

First of all, let’s talk about the specifications that the Samsung Gear Fit and Samsung Gear Fit 2 come with:

Samsung Gear Fit:
– Weight: 28 grams;
– Display: 1.84-inch;
– Processor: 180MHz ARM Cortex M4;
– Bluetooth: 4.0;
– Battery: 210 mAh;
– Sensors: Accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate monitor;
– Color: Black.

Samsung Gear Fit 2:

– Weight: 28-30 grams;
– Display: 1.5-inch;
– Processor: 1GHz Exynos 3250;
– Bluetooth: 4.2;
– Battery: 200 mAh;
– Sensors: Accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate monitor, barometer;
– Color: Black, pink, blue.

Design
Without any doubts, the Gear Fit 2 looks smoother and sleeker. First of all, the screen flows with the silicon band and it looks more a like a fashionable wearable device. The display on the Gear Fit 2 has double the width of the Gear Fit 2, which means that you can read fitness information easier and clearer.

Water Resistant
The Gear Fit 2 has an IP68 rating, which means that if it rains or if you drop it in the bathtub, the wearable device will be fine. However, you would not want to go into the pool with it, as it is not made to track swimming. The Gear Fit has an IP67 rating, which means that the Gear Fit 2 is better when it comes to water resistance.

Battery

The Gear Fit 2 comes with a less powerful battery (200mAh), while the Gear Fit has a 210 mAh one, but that doesn’t mean that this model will not stay alive longer than the Gear Fit. According to reports, the Gear Fit 2 is able last three days on a single charge, while the Gear Fit needs to be charged every night. source

IPHONE 7 AND GALAXY NOTE 6 TO HAVE DUAL-LENS CAMERA

The rivalry between Apple and Samsung is nothing new, except that something new always comes up that fuels the fire. The latest is about the dual lens camera that is rumored to be a feature in iPhone 7. Recent reports out of Korea indicates that Samsung will also use the same camera feature with its upcoming phablet.
But 2016 happens to be the year of a dual camera, so it’s not a surprise that both the iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will join the dual-camera bandwagon. Besides, the camera technology has proven to produce better photos taken from a smartphone. Many mobile phones already excel in this feature, but they can certainly do better.
In a report in Engadget, compact camera design house Corephotonics demonstrated the difference that a dual-lens camera can make when integrated with a smartphone. The long and short of it is that you get the same high quality photos whether you zoomed in on a subject or not. This is made possible with the use of two lenses with different focal lengths – wide angle and 3x zoom. With this technology, you can easily switch lenses without the need for a digital zoom.
Given such features, Apple and Samsung won’t be wrong by using a dual-lens camera. But all these are just rumors based on unconfirmed reports.
  • iPhone 7 cases produced by third-party manufacturers have a wider camera space, most likely to pave way for the dual-lens camera
  • Zol, a Chinese news source, claims that SEMCO, Samsung’s Electro-Mechanics arm, is working on a technology based on Samsung’s own sensor design.
Will both companies make a big deal out of this? It won’t be the first or the last. Because, as early as now, there are already rumors that the iPhone 8 will have a curved screen design that is similar to that of theSamsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the S7 Edge.
Between the iPhone 7 and Galaxy Note 6
The iPhone 7 is rumored to have a storage space starting at 32GB up to 256GB. With apps getting bigger in size, and photos of a dual-lens camera requiring more space, 256GB as a top-tier option definitely makes a lot of sense.
Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will have a 6GB RAM, and a brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor. It will have two internal storage options – 64GB and 128GB UFS 2.0.
But a stark difference between the two is that the Galaxy Note 6 is said to be dust and waterproof, and the name is likely to be switched to Samsung Galaxy Note 7, according to rumors. source

IS THIS THE FIRST OFFICIAL SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 7 PHOTO?

Everyone is ready for the presentation of the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 7. And in case you are wondering why it isn’t namedGalaxy Note 6, Samsung will apparently skip the name to align the new line to its Galaxy S family.

So, This Is How Galaxy Note 7 Will Look Like

We have the first ‘official’ image of the new Galaxy Note 7 model. And what do we mean with ‘official’?
Well, the image appears to be taken in a professional way – in a similar style to how Samsung takes images when presenting their new smartphones. Originally found by NowhereElse, the leaked image was posted on Twitter and it clearly aligns with the rumors – presenting a large number 7 and a text saying ‘The Next Note’ below it.
See it for yourself below:
galaxy 7 note the next
Although there are no markings that the image comes from Samsung directly, we can definitely agree that someone with basic skills could have created this.
Only to find out a more accurate mobile leak of the new Galaxy Note 7, looking like this:
galaxy note 7 leaked
And this:
galaxy note 7 leaked
According to these ‘official leaked photos’ of the new Galaxy Note 7, we can clearly see the presence of an USB-C port on the bottom. And although Samsung is not known for this USB standard, this new Note 7 family may bring it to life. Aside from that, we cannot spot a dual rear camera – as some rumors suggested.

Galaxy Note 7 Vs. iPhone 7 Plus – A Tough Battle

Knowing that the Galaxy Note 7 is probably the best iPhone 7 Plus competitors, this model must be special in order to win the hearts of the Samsung fans. The Galaxy Note 7 announcement and release data, on the other hand, could take place in early August according to some rumors. Logically, this is the time right before the arrival of the new iPhone 7 – and something that Samsung is looking forward as ‘the battle of the giant smartphones’ (also known as phablets).
Until then, we are waiting for the official graphic done by Samsung so that we know the real name of the Note model we are hoping to see at the end of the summer. It is up to Samsung to make things official and put an end to all the rumors tied with the name and the announcement date. source

HOW TO DOWNGRADE IOS 9.3.2 ON IPHONE, IPAD

#iOS932 #iOS10 – How To Downgrade iOS 9.3.2 On iPhone, iPad : How To Downgrade iOS 9.3.2 On iPhone, iPad : Owners of the iPhone, iPadand iPod touch all over the world, should be aware that Apple has released the latest version of iOS, version 9.3.2, which is an update for compatible devices.
With the worldwide developer conference justa few weeks away, this new version of iOS represents the latest in the development in the iOS operating system, ahead of the release of what people hope will be the release of iOS 10.
But, just because this is the latest version of Apple’s mobile OS that does not mean it will work efficiently will all iOS devices. Especially with older iPhones and iPads. So in this article, I’m going to tell you how to downgrade iOS 9.3.2 to 9.3.1.
Downgrade iOS 9.3.2 to iOS 9.3.1
Before I tell you how to downgrade, this article is for you if you have upgraded to iOS 9.3.2 by mistake or willingly and have noticed some performance issues with your iPhone or iPad after updating.
Good news! Here’s where I am going to share with you how to roll-back the update to iOS 9.3.1. As Apple is always improving the performance of iOS with updates, part of that focus is trying to attain efficiency and perforce on older devices. However, this is not always the case and if you are affected with performance issues here’s how to downgrade iOS 9.3.2.
iOS Downgrade Limitations
To start with, I must tell you that you will not be able to downgrade iOS any farther than 9.3.1, this is because Apple has become efficient when it comes to no longer signing older versions of its operating system. This means that iOS 9.3.1 is now the only version that is digitally authenticated by Apple’s servers.
It is also worth me mentioning that iOS 9.3.1 has a limited shelf life too, so if you wish to downgrade iOS 9.3.2 to the earlier version you should do that as soon as possible.
Also, if you have the need to jailbreak an iOS device, you should possibly rethink this because there is currently is no supported jailbreak for iOS 9.2 all the way upto 9.3.2. This means that downgrading iOS to 9.3.1 will not enable you to jailbreak. So before we begin the downgrade of iOS, make sure to back up your device, do this locally.
How to Downgrade iOS 9.3.2
At this point, it is worth me pointing out that you should follow each step to the letter, do not deviate at all!
1. You will need to get the iOS 9.2.1 IPSW file that corresponds with you device.
2. Next before you start to restore, there is some work to do on your device. Go to settings on the iPhone or iPad and find iCloud. Go to find my iPhone and disable the find my iPhone features.
3. Now connect your iPhone or iPad to a Mac or PC using the relevant sync cable for the device.
4. Now launch the latest version of iTunes and make sure your device is selected. Next select the summary tab, this will display lots of information about the connected device.
5. Now that you have finished this part and done some housekeeping on your phone or tablet, it is time to move forward and go through the restore process. If you’re using a computer running Windows, hold down the “Shift Key” and click on the restore iPhone button in iTunes.
Mac users should hold down the “Option/Alt key” at the same time as pressing the restore iPhone button in iTunes.
6. Next make sure you select the correct iOS 9.2.1 IPSW file for your device, remember you downloaded it in step 1, select it when prompted to do so. Next iTunes will now slowly walk you through a few different prompts, which form part part of the restore process.
iTunes will now take you through the process of downgrading iOS to iOS 9.3.1, and when complete, you will have a clean install of the older iOS. I hope this tutorial /guide was helpful to you. If you have any questions or would like to share your experiences please comment below. Source:Valuewalk

HOW TO USE YOUR BROKEN SMARTPHONE FROM A PC

#Smartphone #PC – How to use your broken smartphone from a PC : Unfortunately, smashing the screen of your precious smartphone is a common occurrence. If this has happened to you and you’ve gotten the famous spider-web on the unresponsive touchscreen, you don’t have to say goodbye to your device yet.
You can use  it from your PC. Here’s how.
How to recover data if your screen is broken but you can see the display
If you’ve broken your touch screen but the display is still working (you can see it) you can fix it by using a USB OTG (On The Go) and a mouse to connect to your device. A USB OTG connects mobile devices to other devices.
Basically, your Android device has a mini-USB and you need to connect it to the mouse that has a USB. The USB OTG connects these. If you need further information on USB OTGs, click the link below.
  • USB OTG: What is it and how to use it
Once you have the mouse connected, you can unlock your device whether you have a pattern, PIN or password. We recommend using passwords anyways because they are highly secure.
Now that your phone is unlocked, you can connect it to your computer and either transfer the data you need to your microSD memory or connect it directly to your PC and transfer the files there.
How to recover data if your screen is off
If you can’t see your screen, you might need to get a VNC program. There are plenty on the market and you should be sure to pick one that’s safe and free. These programs bring your Android interface onto your PC so you can control it from there.
In order to use these programs, you’ll need to download the program to your PC but also on your Android device. There are some paid programs out there too but usually include more features than this.
So if you want something more extensive you can grab one of these instead.
If you still can’t get your data
Getting your data off your phone by taking it to a shop that can fix it could be another solution. Yes, this option costs money but you’ll not only have your data but you’ll also have your phone fixed.
Make sure you ask around for a reputable repair shop. Once the phone has been repaired they can easily go in and steal your data. If you go to one of the big dealers you’ll probably pay more but you’ll also be less likely to get ripped off.Source: androidpit

THE NEW PLAYSTATION 4: CODE NAMED PLAYSTATION NEO

We’ve had this done in the past and this shouldn’t be a shock to anyone who currently owns a console, Sony is planning on releasing a new, upgraded version of the PlayStation 4, this time it’s different though, instead of upgrading the storage, Sony has left it untouched (as far as we know, for now).

An Upgraded PS4?

When it comes to hardware, things become outdated really fast, what could have been considered to be a high tier gaming console is simply not capable of keeping itself on par with modern games.
 Sure developers could tune down their games and that’s exactly what they’re going to do but if you believe your current console will become useless then we’ve got some good news for you, we know for now that games released towards the end of 2016 will have two different versions or modes, one for the original PS4 console and for the upgraded NEO, this is because PlayStation NEO brings several upgrade to the table allowing games to utilize the hardware, probably increasing the resolution and hopefully, the FPS.

What sort of upgrades are we talking about?

Well the fact that both Microsoft and Sony launched their systems with support for external hard drives takes one possible upgrade out of the equation, we may still see the NEO having higher storage but it’s not probable, simply because hard drives have become rather… cheap and anyone who’s running low on space can simply pick one up on any electronics shop and use that with their current consoles.
NEO itself is going to bring us a much more powerful CPU, GPU as well as RAM. The actual numbers for now are:
The Original PS4 PlayStation ‘NEO’
CPU 8 Jaguar Cores @ 1.6GHz 8 Jaguar Cores @ 2.1GHz
GPU AMD GCN, 18 CUs @ 800MHz Improved AMD GCN, 36 CUs @ 911MHz
Memory 8GB GDDR5, 176GB/s 8GB GDDR5, 218GB/s
These specifications aren’t high tier; sure they’re much better than what we already have, console upgrades aren’t generally a successful venture, Microsoft has steered clear of an upgrade to Xbox One but if the consumers end up buying the NEO, we can surely expect Microsoft to start working on an upgrade to Xbox One, if they haven’t done so already.

We can expect to see some sort of VR compatible games being released as well, but there have been no indications that owners of the current PS4 will be stripped of their favorite titles anytime soon so you’ll be able to enjoy VR no matter which version of the PS4 you own.

How will this effect future games?

Sony doesn’t have any plans to separate the two user bases, doing so would cost them quite a lot of loyal customers, players who prefer PCs already understand that they’ll have to upgrade to the latest hardware regularly if they wish to play all their favorite games as they’re released.
Console users on the other hand would be completely new to the idea that they’ll have to purchase a newer PS4 so soon after picking up the original model. We need to understand that the PlayStation 3 lasted nearly a decade whereas it hasn’t even been five years since the release of PlayStation 4, if this gamble works out we can expect to see a new era in console gaming.

But even after all the hardware upgrades that NEO will receive, it won’t be capable of rendering the same 4K, 60 FPS games that a modern gaming computer can, but that’s not even a fair comparison because the price tag for such a computer is enough to buy a couple of consoles from every manufacturer and still be left with spare cash.
